Who can submit pledges through the H2Oath Program?

There are two types of pledging in H2Oath: Individual Pledges and Classroom Pledges.

Anyone grades K-12 may submit a pledge through the individual pledges path.

To participate in classroom pledges, eligibility requirements apply. Classrooms must:
* Be grades K-12
* Registered by their teacher
* Be located within a Cal Water service area

How do I find out if I'm in a Cal Water service area?

Scan our list of eligible schools on the teacher registration page or enter your school address here.

I don't see my school listed but we are in a Cal Water service area. What should I do?

Please check your school address on the Cal Water service area map or Contact Us with your school information and we can verify your eligibility status.

Can I submit more than one pledge?

You may submit a pledge for any one or all of our pledges.

Through individual pleges, you may be able to submit pledges more than once, for instance, if you don't submit all pledges initially, but later wish to commit to one of the pledges that you did not originally select.

When participating as a classroom, you may only submit your pledges once per classroom. Additionally, if the same student is pledging in multiple classrooms, that student is only eligible to receive one water conservation kit; not one per classroom.

Classroom Pledging

How do I enroll my classroom to participate?

In order to enroll a classroom, you must be a teacher at a school within a Cal Water service area. If that's you, create an account or, if you already have one, login to your teacher account. Once logged in scroll down to "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" and click the "Add Classroom" button. This will take you to a form where you can enter your classroom information. Once saved, the classroom will show up in "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" whenever logged in to your teacher account.

How do I create an account?

You can find the Registration button on the Teacher Account page. Or you can register here. You will need to create a username, enter your email address and a phone number, and select your school from the pulldown. Once submitted, the Cal Water Tap into Learning team will receive a notification and once approved, you will receive an email with instructions to login and establish your password.

How do I add a classroom to my account?

Login to your teacher account. Once logged in scroll down to "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" and click the "Add Classroom" button. This will take you to a form where you can enter your classroom information. Once saved, the classroom will show up in "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" whenever logged in to your teacher account.

May I add multiple classrooms?

Yes, you may add mutliple classrooms. Each classroom can be assigned a unique name when creating the classroom's pledging page. Additionally each classroom will be assigned a designator for the year it was created, helping to distinguish if you enroll classrooms in subsequent school years.

I've created a classroom pledging page; may I edit it?

Yes, you may. After logging in, you will find a "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" module that should show you all registered classrooms under your account. Once there, you can select to view the created page, edit it, or view your sbumissions.

How many students can participate?

Up to 40 students can participate per classroom.

How do my students pledge?

In the "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" module above each registered classroom you will see a link to that classroom pledging page and a classroom code. Your students may pledge in one of two ways.

Direct Link
You can send your students to the URL listed;

or

Classroom Code
You may send your students to the Classroom Pledging page, where they will enter their classroom code.

No matter which path they take in order to pledge, each student will need a unique student code in order to pledge.

What is the Classroom Code?

Each classroom is assigned a classroom code. You may find the classroom code for your class in your teacher account under the name for that classroom.

What is the Student Code?

Student codes are unique numerical codes assigned to each student in your classroom.

Cal Water does not collect personal information about your students through the H2Oath program. As such, teachers are to assign a number to each student in their class 1 - 40 or the total number of students in the class, whichever is lower. Students are to use their unique number code when pledging (under student code).

When viewing your classroom's submissions in your Teacher Account, pledges will be logged by student code.

How do I view my students' submissions?

In your Teacher Account you will find a View Submissions button associated with each of your classrooms in the "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" section.

My students have finished their submissions. What next?

Once all students have submitted their pledges View Submissions under the appropriate classroom in the "Your H2Oath Classroom Pages" section of your Teacher Account. Once there, look for the Submit to Cal Water button.
